The rules on electronic court proceedings before judicial, administrative and tax courts have been amended by Ministerial Order No. 435/2026/1, of 23 September. These proceedings are managed through Citius, the digital platform used by lawyers and courts to file and manage cases.

The amendment concerns the filing of procedural documents by multiple legal representatives. In Citius, when several lawyers file a document jointly, each must electronically confirm their endorsement of the document. Previously, if any representative failed to do so within the prescribed deadline, the document was deemed as not filed, which in certain cases had serious consequences for the party filing the document.

Under the new wording, failure by one representative to confirm only affects that representative, and the filing remains valid for the others. The court registry or the judge may raise the lack of confirmation ex officio, with the party being notified to regularise the situation.
