According to the new rules, non-residents can only invest in the Angolan capital market with funds from abroad and on long term assets (at least 1 year maturity).

Even though investment by non-residents is possible, the new rules limit the options on a future sale or disposal of assets to operation between non-residents, except in the case of operations such as mergers or divisions and in cases of inheritance.

On the other hand, the new rules expressly provide for the possibility of repatriation of funds received in connection with these investments.
